Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women. There are different types of breast cancer, categorized based on the part of the breast they affect – the lobules (lobular), ducts (ductal), or connective tissue. The most common types of breast cancer are invasive ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma.
Look for symptoms such as:
- New lumps under the breast or armpit
- Swelling of the breast
- Irritation, redness, or dimpling around the breast
- Breast pain
- Nipple discharge such as blood
